Translate your reels with Meta AI on Facebook

Meta AI translations is a free tool that, once enabled, automatically dubs and lip syncs your reels into another language. This helps you reach and better connect with audiences all over the world so you can grow a global following. With Meta AI translations, you can speak to viewers in their own language, making your content accessible to new audiences.

Meta AI Translations uses the sound and tone of your own voice so it feels authentically you. Additionally, the lip syncing feature matches your mouth’s movements to the translated audio, so that it looks like you’re really speaking the language in the reel.

Manage your Meta AI translations settings

1. Create a Facebook reel.
2. Before you share your reel, tap Translate your voice with Meta AI.
3. Next to Translate voices with Meta AI, tap  to enable Meta AI translations. Tap  to disable Meta AI translations.
   • You can also tap  next to Add lip syncing to enable lip syncing or tap  to disable lip syncing.
   • If you want to review your translated reel before it’s published, tap Review before publishing. Translations and lip syncs won’t be published until you review and approve them.
4. Tap Select languages to select a language to translate your reel to.
5. At the top left, tap .
6. When you’re finished with your reel, tap Share now.

You’ll receive a notification when your translations are complete and ready for review. Tap the notification to view the translated version.

While viewing your translated reel, you can:

• Select to view the reel in the original language
• Approve the translation if you’ve turned on approvals
• Remove lip sync
• Delete the translation entirely
• Report translation errors

Viewers who see the translated version of the reel can switch to view the reel in its original language.

Note: You can’t add a translation after you publish your reel or after you’ve deleted a translation.

Eligibility

Meta AI translations are currently available for creators who:

• Have a Page or have professional mode turned on. Learn how to turn on professional mode or create a Page.
• Have at least 1,000 followers.
• Are located in countries where Meta AI is available (excluding South Korea, Australia, Turkey, South Africa, Nigeria, Texas, and Illinois)

Currently, you can translate between the following languages:

• English
• Spanish
• Portuguese
• Hindi

Meta AI voice translations can support translation of up to 2 voices.
